dwf2008
Not sure what happened but FSX suddenly takes forever to get started. Once running it seems to work fine but it takes minutes to get going. Might be a windows update, might be too many add-on airplanes, or something else. Does FSX have a startup log that might shed some light on what's going on? System is Win10 pro 64 bit Intel i7 8 gig ram dual monitor Everything else seems normal. Thanks

Thanks Startup time can be extended by a large `hangar`. How many aircraft are there in your SimObjects folder? Startup time can be extended by a large scenery folder. What do you have in there? Startup time can also be extended by a non-optimised HD. Do you have the sim installed on a hard drive, rather than SSD? When did you last defrag it? Once we have this info, we can track deeper into your system.
