I understand the panda being bored.

 

In this 'phenomenon' the sun is hidden, it gets dark and temps drop.

 

Summer clouds do this on a nearly every afternoon in Colorado.

Thanks for that link jgf, most of those photos would make great posters - at first glance I thought the first one was a sword!
