Help! I am trying to get FSX deluxe to work in Windows 10.

Hi I apologize if this has been asked before. I have installed fsx deluxe twice and uninstalled it twice because it wasn't displaying the aircraft that I had downloaded properly. I added SP1 & Sp2 and the basic fsx worked ok, trouble started when I began to try 3rd party addons for fsx. The first install was in the default setting as per the install by miscrsoft. The second reinstall I put the FSx in C:\FSX and it worked fairly well but when I added the aircraft they wouldn't appear in the opening free flight screen. I checked the cfg's and they seemed ok but with the changes by Windows 10 and Microsoft I'm not sure of what to look for anymore. Hope some kind soul will put me right. Robin

List at least one 3rd party addon aircraft that you can't make appear in the Select Aircraft screen. Give a link or filename. Many reasons why the don't show.

 

1. Panel aliased to an aircraft you don't already have.

 

2. Show "all variations" not checked on the Select Aircraft page.

 

3. Misspelled texture= or sim= or model= in the aircraft.cfg

 

4. No thumbnail.jpeg in the texture folder so generic ?aircraft shows instead.

What........?

 

ALL versions of FSX (Standard, Deluxe, Gold,, SE) work in W10..........as does the older version of the sim (FS2004)

I have even made CFS 2 and 3 work in Win 10....
