Noisy brakes

Recommended Posts

You seem to have a corrupted sound file there: I've just looked at the sound folder for the 737-800 and its' .cfg file and wasn't able to identify a particular BRAKES file,I'm afraid, my only suggestion is a reinstall of that one particular plane,if you can find it in the disc, or a complete FSX-SE reinstall would be nessesary.

No need to do any re-installs. Try verifying your cache to see if any files are corrupt.

To verify you game files please do the following:

1. Load the Steam platform and log into your account

2. Click the Library tab in the menu at the top of the screen

3. Click the List View from the view options on the top right of the screen

4. Right click on Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition to bring up a popup menu

5. Click on Properties from the popup menu to bring up another popup box

6. Click on Local files from the popup box menu

7. Click on Verify integrity of game cache from the Local file options

8. Wait for the progress bar to finish verifying your files. Additional files may download

9. Restart Steam

10. Restart Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

I recently had a really loud brake sound in my Lear 45. I fly by saving where I land and coming back. So what I did was start fresh at a parking spot at the airport I was at and the brake noise went away. It's like over the period of time with saving flights and returning to the airport you were at, things get corrupted.
