AeroFly FS 2 looks great, but still needs a lot of polish! I do enjoy flying it, but am hoping for more detailed 3rd party aircraft and a better weather system in the future. Really glad Orbx has decided to make scenery for this sim.

Intel i-9 13900KF @ 6.0 Ghz Cpu, MSI RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X 24GB Videocard, MSI MAG CORELIQUID C360 Water Cooler, MSI Z790 A-PRO WIFI Motherboard, MSI MPG A1000G 1000W Power Supply, G.SKILL 48Gb Ram @76000 MHz DDR5 Ram, MSI SPATIUM M480 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 2TB Drive, Windows 11 Pro Ghost Spectre x64

looks too contrasty, and color saturation is so low it looks almost like black and white. but it also looks far realer than anything in fsx, and ive seen screenshots and videos aplenty on the net that don't have the above mentioned issues. I may very well have already used fsx for the very last time ever. just waiting for health and financial crises to be resolved, if they ever are. if they are, ive already decided to get aerofly fs2 and might never bother again with a graphics engine from the 20th century.

Looking good Adam! Not that, that isn't the norm for your posts.

Michael

OK, I have to ask a couple of questions. I was just on the Aerofly site and they didn't address hardware issues or any of the other questions I'm asking here. They are having a $7 off sale through July 5th, if I recall correctly. So that might ease some folks sticker pain.

Do the add-on controllers like flight controls, autopilot switch panels etc. which work off of usb ports work there as well?

How about 2-d views? I saw an explanation of how to set-up 3-d across three screens with NVIDIA. But I like to use NVIDIA to do 2-d across three screens and use the side screens for "looking out the windows" to get a near 270*view.

Also I'm guessing, though I didn't see anything stated one way or the other that all my FSX-P3D scenery and aircraft won't work with the 64-bit programs?

Thanks in advance!!

It's an early access work in progress FS much like FSW, which by the way is another great 64bit sim. But it still looks far better than anything i've seen, even at 500ft. :)

Looks good, Adam, but I'm sticking with my dinosaur!

Nothing wrong with the dinosaur Klee, still a great sim afer all these years. :)

These are my first shots from Aerofly2 Phil, still trying figure out the key assignments. I hope you get your issues resolved quickly, i'm sure you would enjoy the smoothness of a 64bit FS.

Hear ya go michael. I'm not sure about 2-d views or other vendors aircraft as of yet, but everything has to be 64bit to work. Orbx has just released two airports for Aerofly2. It's an early access FS, so who knows what they have in store.

  • Support for multiple joysticks, throttle units, rudder pedals and more
  • TrackIR support
  • Full Oculus Rift VR support
  • HTC Vive VR support
  • Support for Saitek Multi Panel, Radio Panel, Switch Panel and Saitek TPM

Thank you fellas. :)

Hey Adam, thanks for the info. I especially liked your latest post with the blues and greens over water. Having said that, I'll take a hint from Klee, at least for now.

Perhaps in the future I'll make the move. But man I hate to lose all I've got tied up in 32 bit scenery!!!! :o:o

Of course after buying all kinds of extra hardware and making tons of modifications, I hated to leave my Apple IIE as well! I thought 8-bits was plenty and I could do spreadsheets and other office functions with Appleworks as well and faster than anything I found using Windows 85.

Thank you Jan. :) I'll do more Aerofly2 and FSW shots once my current posts run there course, three is my limit for obvious reasons. :)

Anyway, glad to hear you have your new machine, i'll be looking forward to seeing some screenshots my friend. :)

Traitor!!...how could you leave FSX after being so good to you and with big success:mad::p:(

BTW: I must admit, those shots are super mighty real and impressive, competition for FSX it is kind well overdue

I have been flying the early access since it's release and agree that it does look better than any other simulators default scenery. I think it has the potential to be the best sim once more 3rd party developers get on board.

Damn Jan,

I'm impressed! What a great looking shot!

Having said that, I'm also confused. That looks like way too small a river for you to land that R-5 on. :p:p
