johankotze
Wonder if someone experience the same. While flying, Auto Throttle armed and Speed armed the aircraft after awhile increase speed to 990 knots and sometimes change to Mach without selecting. mrzippy
Nope! 990 knots ?? where are you seeing that info? If you are past FTL300 and heading for a higher cruise altitude, you should be at MACH instead of KIAS anyway. Now all of that changes if you are flying a 707 and you are "Flight 33". When you reached 990 knots, did you see any flashes of light and if you looked out the cockpit windows did you see any dinosaurs? Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer! johankotze
mrzippy yes sorry KIAS 900 something, get overspeed and not even at FTL300. This happens without my interaction Maybe something in the aircraft.cfg file

I have never had a problem with any, be it default or 3rd party freeware. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!

This happens without my interaction Maybe something in the aircraft.cfg file I'm not terribly familiar with the Airbus model line. But I will admit "KIAS 900 something" should probably be setting off at least some overspeed indications. :p Michael Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow. mrzippy
I download it from the Rikoooo site. A321 by Francois Dore And there you have it! I have tried some of those Rikooo airbuses and some are kinda funky. Probably some screw ups in the FDE. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer! johankotze
Mrzippy you know where I can download a working 3rd party airbus or nice reprints. If it is possible free ones. I like to have A318, A319, A321, A340, A350, A380

mabe5454
I download it from the Rikoooo site. A321 by Francois Dore I would start with the A320 with Dore's series. Above 25,000 feet it will automatically switch to Mack. It comes with a long manual and if you want to learn you must read it. They are fun to flight once you learn all the quirky peculiarities. johankotze
Mabe5454 I do have A320 from Dore but whille flying the speed increases on it's own to top speed. I then have to disengage auto throttle to decrease speed to get rid of over speed. Can it be something in the aircraft.cfg file. Mrzippy mentioned something about FDE. Not in this case, they don't need it. All of them (18, 19, 20, 21) work fine and they behave differently as per their size. Sorry but read the manual and I know is a little bit long especially on details. Cheers,
johankotze
I have downloaded the following file from AVSIM and followed the install instruction to the letter https://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=&Name=airbus+a321&FileName=&Author=francois+dore&CatID=root (Airbus A321 FD-FMC version 1.20 FSX and P3D). But I miss the following. https://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?Location=AVSIM&Proto=file&ImageID=420755 ND with Radar terrain (TAWS) https://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?Location=AVSIM&Proto=file&ImageID=420754 this page is missing from the checklist gauge Did I maybe miss something. I wonder if it's talking about this because it's on the ND or Navigation Display? I'm on the ground so no GS or any AI aircraft it the area. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer! johankotze
mrzippy if you go the link I provided and scroll down to Airbus A321 FD-FMC version 1.20 FSX and P3D you will find .jpg links showing gauges coming with this package but after installation some of the gauges are not in the package as I tried to explained in my post above. If I understood you correctly the ND will show the terrain as per link provided when I am in the air.

il88pp
I found that airbus elsewhere once. Maybe the one on avsim. Probably in a thread here by the creator. As I remember it's not as simple to fly as the default aircraft. You really have to read the manual. For example, it has a working fmc. (I didn't try the plane/fmc myself. I was learning the freeware Ifly fmc at the time.) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Hence, I prefer the Rikoooo Airbuses by F. Dore where I have a saying in the flying. Also I am in favor of the MSFS ATC and GPS navigation and not so much for SID & START. johankotze
Mabe5454, Yes I prefer your way of flying as well, but I use the gauges to build my own 2D Panel as I use multiple monitors and want to have as much as possible information on view and don't want click click around to much

johankotze
Believe me it is not like those super dooper cockpits you see on youtube. Its simple and straight forward. One monitor for 2d panel. second monitor for ATC, Flight Plan Info, 3rd monitor for Little Navmap https://albar965.github.io/, 4th monitor for windshield.
