louross
Is this type scenery typically only for summer? Is it more for fast, high altitude flying or slow low level flying? Thanks, lr lou"wakemeatthemarker"ross
mrzippy
Can I assume that you are referring to Photo-Real scenery? If so, then it is mainly for high altitude tubeliner type flying. The lower you get the flatter it gets. On the ground a Photo-Real building and such can look like a pancake. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer! jgf
My major complaint with photoscenery is that it doesn't blend with surrounding scenery, so you have a sharp line of demarcation that is glaringly obvious when flying over it. Also, from my experience, most photoscenery looks great from 10k ft or higher, but not as satisfying from 3k ft (a noteable exception is the BlueSky scenery, but it takes a powerful system to display it ...my old abacus can't even keep up with texture loading when flying a Piper Cub down the Grand Canyon). ColR1948
A while ago I spent a small fortune on Photoscenery, I wish I had never bothered, like jgf said above I can only echo his remarks. Also the reason I spent a small fortune was I didn't know properly what photoscenery was.
