VOR Radio Frequency Resolution

I am taking the Charles Wood's Navigation course and am learning VOR navigation. One learning flight is from Great Barrington Airport to Chester VOR. The Chester VOR frequency is 115.1 however FSX tunes in increments of 5 Mhz so I can have 115.0 or 115.5. If I try to use 115.0 then I get Cambridge airport just north at 115.0 and so, alas, it would seem we on FSX cannot do this example of VOR navigation....or is there something I'm missing?

As far as I've seen, most radio stacks in FSX tune in .05 increments. 115.00, 115.05, 115.10 etc etc.

What plane are you using, may I ask? Can you post a screencap of your radio stack, perchance? It may help us identify the trouble you're having in more detail.

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

I just checked mine again this morning and they are tuning in .05 increments too. Can it be random? I'll keep my eye on it and should it happen again I'll learn how to do a screencap and post it. Thanks Pat. I'm using the FSX default Cessna 172 sky.

Chester VOR is 115.10 MHz (115.1 MHz). If a zero is on the end it does not need be displayed as such.
