amberdog1
When ever I fly IFR from ybbn to klax (or any west coast US location) just after takeoff (5 mins) I'm instructed to change freq to 119.80. I change it and the auto weather reporting for Maroochydore/Sunshine Coast (YBMC). ATIS: 119.800 MHz. The 2 freqs are the same and it causes me to lose my IFR plan and I have to reload it. Is there a way to fix this, like change the atis freq to 119.820 (as an idea). Thanks for your help. AD
mrzippy
When ATC tells you to change to 119.80 who are they telling you it is? Departure....Center...…..Approach? Have you tried acknowledgeing but not changing the freq? Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
amberdog1
Departure asked me to change to center @119.80. I responded and changed freq. I was not able to contact center due to the ATIS. I reloaded the flight and responded but didn't change the freq and kept flying as if I were VFR. I reloaded the flight and went thru all until changing the freq and waited. I flew for about 10 mins and the freq change 125.0 (still Brisbane Center) and changed to 125.0. Everything else went normal.
