dogdish
I did not want one either but it's the only place where you can get the FSX updates. Otherwise the lights don't work correctly. johankotze
Maybe I can use my wife's facebook login. OK I installed base package an Jet.2 737-800. Burt when I looked in Aircraft hanger under TDS all planes have a question mark en no texture can't even find Jet.2 I also seems that the 2d panel is not of a 737-
dogdish
The reason you have question marks is because there is no thumbnail.jpg in the aircraft folders. You can make one later but get the plane working first. Those are white repaint textures for painting, that's what a base pack usually includes. If you don't want them to show in your hanger, add OFF to panel= Which of the 5 Jet2.com's did you use? Post your Aircraft.cfg and I can tell you what's wrong Gigabyte GA-X99 Gaming G1, i7-5960X, Noctua NH-D14, Crucial Ballistix Elite 64Gb, Nvidia GTX Titan X, Creative ZxR, Ableconn PEXM2-130, WD Black SN750 250Gb & 2Tb NVMe/Gold 10Tb HDD, Sony BDU-X10S BD-ROM, PC Power & Cooling 1200w, Cosmos C700M, Noctua iPPC 140mm x6, Logitech M570/K800, WinX64 7 Ultimate/10 Pro

It seats 210 to 290 passengers, depending on the variant. Boeing states that it is the company's most fuel-efficient airliner and the world's first major airliner to use composite materials for most of its construction.[4] The 787 consumes 20% less fuel than the similarly-sized Boeing 767.[5] Some of its distinguishing features include a four-panel windshield, noise-reducing chevrons on its engine nacelles, and a smoother nose contour. The aircraft's initial designation was 7E7, prior to its renaming in January 2005.[6] The first 787 was unveiled in a roll-out ceremony on July 8, 2007, at Boeing's Everett assembly factory, by which time it had become the fastest-selling wide-body airliner in history with 677 orders.[7] By October 2011, 797 Boeing 787s had been ordered by 57 customers, with ILFC having the largest number on order.[8] The 787 development and production has involved a large-scale collaboration with numerous suppliers around the globe. Final assembly is at the Boeing Everett Factory in Everett, Washington. Aircraft will also be assembled at a new factory in North Charleston, South Carolina. Both sites will deliver 787s to airline customers. Originally planned to enter service in May 2008, the project has suffered from multiple delays. The airliner's maiden flight took place on December 15, 2009, and completed flight testing in mid-2011. Final Federal Aviation Administration and European Aviation Safety Agency certification was received in late August 2011 and the first model was delivered in late September 2011. It entered commercial service on October 26, 2011. \n\nTypical city pairs: \n London-LA\n LA-Tokyo\n Tokyo-Sydney atc_id_color=0x00000000 atc_id_font=Verdana,-11,1,600,0 [General] atc_type=BOEING dogdish
[fltsim.12] is a 787. Delete the whole [fltsim.12] 787 section and repaint ONLY. Download one of the 5 737's. That was my fault but I fixed the link above. Also you need a period anyways between [fltsim and 12] Also your going to have to make this match when you get the 737... model=BE--P2W3 Gigabyte GA-X99 Gaming G1, i7-5960X, Noctua NH-D14, Crucial Ballistix Elite 64Gb, Nvidia GTX Titan X, Creative ZxR, Ableconn PEXM2-130, WD Black SN750 250Gb & 2Tb NVMe/Gold 10Tb HDD, Sony BDU-X10S BD-ROM, PC Power & Cooling 1200w, Cosmos C700M, Noctua iPPC 140mm x6, Logitech M570/K800, WinX64 7 Ultimate/10 Pro

dogdish
Post the 737 Jet2 [fltsim.12] section of the aircraft.cfg that you added and what is the name of the Jet2 texture folder. As I said you have question marks because there is no thumbnail.jpg included inside the texture folders. But that's not a reason to keep the repaint from working. Jim Robinson
I'm not sure on the panel, I use the default FSX 738 VC. I used the PS Panel back in FS9 but I've never tried it in FSX. The lights are modeled with the exception of TDSB3_wing_light.fx and tdsnose_gearwell.fx, if they're not working is it possible you have DX10 preview checked on your FSX hardware settings page? I don't actually have it installed in FSX, I'm using it in P3D so not much help there, sorry. My lights do work though.

Any reason why the lights and sounds are not working And is see that the 2d panel is not of a 737-800. I am not familiar with this panel Told you they were a pain. Everything is aliased to FS9 planes. You'll need to alias sound from the default FSX 737-800. As for the lights, I couldn't get them to work which is why I just deleted the plane altogether. Jim Robinson
I have to agree they are a PITA if you don't consider swapping files and editing .cfgs "fun", there are buttload of tweaks and modifications involved in making them work correctly. I copied my P3D TDS B737-800 folder into FSX to test it and my lights do work: http://www.cat-tamer.com/flightsim/atchmnts/tds_738_fsx2.jpg That's all you get for the actual wingtip lights but you should also see the light splash on the ground every time the strobes and beacons flash (this screenshot was captured mid-flash). If you do everything right Shift+8 should pull up the "posky_util" panel shown in the screenshot, it has buttons for all the lights, doors, GSU, etc. I must do "Christmas things" now, lol. I may not make it back till Monday. Merry Christmas everyone!
dogdish
Thanks Jim, I changed the [exits]. Any reason why the lights and sounds are not working And is see that the 2d panel is not of a 737-800. I am not familiar with this panel Great you almost got it. To fix the sound (it's looking for a non existent FS9 737-400), go into the TDS Sound folder and change the sound.cfg to this... [fltsim] alias=B737_800\sound As far as the lights not working, that's when you have to get the FSX model updates at TDS Facebook. From what you posted above, you need to get the FSX_TDS738SF_CFM56-7B--W2_MDL_IG30-3.zip for your Jet2 The TDS is using the FS9 737-400 panel. That's why you have to alias to the FSX 737-800 panel. Do a search here on Flightsim and you will find out how to do that. johankotze
I changed the panel back to original that comes with TDS 737-800. PAULCRAIG
If you refer back to my post #9, I have explained what you need to add to the FSX default B738 panel.cfg file to get the panel working with the TDS B737, the Tds737ADVCONTROL & Tds_util folders are for the animations & utility panel (lights & doors etc.), also the panel.cfg data needs to be added for these to work, also if you don't plan on using the default panel these folders & data need to be added to any panel.cfg that you are planning on using, the [Windowxx] will have to be numbered to run consecutively after the last [Windowxx] entry & the [VCockpit01] & [VCockpit02] data added to the bottom of the panel.cfg.
