Panel.cfg files: Meaning of visible

Hi everyone,

In an aircraft's panel.cfg file, each window has a line stating either visible=0 or visible=1.

What does that mean, please?

Thank you.

A more correct answer would be that a popup Window with visible=1 will be visible when the panel is loaded into the sim.

The main 2D panel should always (in most cases, someone will find one that is different) be set to visible=1.

Up top of panel cfg is the (Window Titles) with 'Window00=Main Panel. That would be your 2D panel. Then below you have the 'Window00=Man Panel' section with it being 'visible=1' and is what you will see (ie: panel bmp and gauges) in 2D panel view. The others: 'Window0X=XXX', etc are pop up (windows) that you don't want to see until you press 'Shift+2', 3, etc, and that is why they are 'visible=0'.
