dothan
Hello, Please help me find my FSX:SE bottleneck. Everything is fine mid air but when my plane is moving through a downloaded (f.e. Aerosoft airports) it gets really laggy. MBO: ASROCK 970 PRO 3 R2.0 CPU: AMD FX X6 66300 3.5GHZ, SIX CORE VGA: RADEON R9 390X, 8GB DDR5 HDD: SEAGATE ST1000DM003, 7200RPM RAM: 8GB, DDR3 OS: Win 10, 64bit Is it a PC component or the fact that FSX doesnt utilize well multiple AMD CPU cores? How do I make it do so then' Thank you!
jorgen.s.andersen
As far as I can see, the bottleneck is your clock rate. FSX is basically single-threaded, meaning it basically uses only one core in your CPU. Therefore, the clock rate determines how fast the CPU can do things. mallcott
The bottleneck is the addon airports. Your system simply does not have the power to use those without sliders being turned right down and fps-sapping options turned off.
longbreak754
Have you read the manual that came with the product. Aerosoft often offer advice within the manual regarding settings etc, usually at the rear of the manual in a section called Technical Advise. The section often provides info on how to get the best performance when using the product, including elements that relate to the running of FSX in general and more specific elements of the scenery itself that affect performance.
