time to turn

Hello

turning during pushback takes alot of time

I press shift+p+1 OR 2 , the plane turns after like 20-25 second

can i reduce or control the amount of time the plane takes to turn ?

Sure! Make your plane shorter! There is a specific amount of distance that each plane has to go before the turn can start.

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

mmmm so it depends on The length of the plane

ok is there anyway to change that ? maybe adding a fake value so FS think that the plane is short :pilot:

Are you in a hurry? Someone charging you by the minute to use the computer?

Search for RCB Groundhandling, I think it is freeware. Instal it on your aircraft. Controls taxi speed and pushback. You preset distance and turn prior to pushback, and the tug driver talks to you during the operation. No more FS ignoring your turn inputs. Roy.

+1 on rthrosby's suggestion of using RCB Groundhandling............

But if you want to get 'down and dirty' with making changes..............

Take a look at this thread - it tells you how the pushback is implemented within FSX.

https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/content.php?2140-How-ToControl-Aircraft-Pushback

It mentions that incorrect contact points can affect when the aircraft will turn. These points are contained within the aircraft.cfg file under the section headed [Contact_Points].

See the following web page for info regarding the contents of the aircraft.cfg file.

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/cc526949.aspx

Googleing how to amend contact points will give lots of how to info - as always though, make a backup copy of the original aircraft.cfg file before making any edits.

Regards

Brian
