flyer8
That's a very nice FS9 you have there, Mark, would you mind sharing how you got it to look that good? Your scenery is FSX quality! Sure thing, although, they are well known FS9.cfg and NVida Inspector tweaks. They could, and probably should, vary a bit from system to system and from a personal perspective on the way you like your sim to look. But this is a good head start for most. In my case, it was pretty easy to figure this out. I simply listened to a bunch of people who knew what they were doing with FS9, and that would include Opa. You know what, they were right. So riding on the shoulders of giants here, below are the relevant changes that I use in the Scenery.cfg file, the FS9.cfg file, an attached screen shot of my current NVida Inspector settings, as well as the MSXML version which I'm currently using. This configuration runs at 30FPS without any hesitation whatsoever. (That includes my 80% AI traffic setting) The Scenery.cfg file reads as follows.... Priority/Scenery 01) FS Global 2010 02) Airports, landclasses, etc 03) Addon Scenery 04) Aerial Photos 05) Ultimate Terrain 06) Libraries (EZ, Rwy12, MS Default, etc) 07) MS Scenery (Americas, Oceania, Europe, OZ, etc) 08) MS Default Scenery 09) MS Default Terrain 10) MS FS9 World Scenery I have also installed the entire FS2004 SDK as well as... MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KB954430) MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KB973688) MSXML 4.0 SP2 (Parser and SDK) The relevant parts of the FS9.cfg file as follows.... I really love FS9, an unlocked Core i5 with a 7 year old video card and driver. Hats off to you gents who paved the way for the rest of us! Hope this helps...
