David George
Hi I am running FSX SE and have the X 55 Throttle and Stick. I have set it up according to Saitek's site and cannot get it to work on 4 engine aircraft. The throttle only wrks on the two left hand engines. Any suggestions please? mrzippy
Welcome aboard! Looks like you will need the payware version of FSUIPC. https://steamcommunity.com/app/314160/discussions/0/541907867748659065/ Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer! napamule2
Well you will also need a Bible, a rabbits foot (for luck) and 40 hours of 'school' to set this $200 jobbie. FSUIPC can't 'hurt' but it won't 'fix' it (it's a complicated piece of hardware). For starters it will use 2 POWERED USB ports (get a powered HUB). Then you have to read up on how to configure the keys. Sound simple? It's not. You will get exhausted in no time. But if you prevail (give you a month) you MIGHT like your HOTAS. Or you might just buy a twist stick and be done with it. You can sacrifice only so many brain cells for just this one 'task'. You can read a review / how-to at this link: http://www.mudspike.com/saitek-x-55-rhino-hotas-quick-look-set-up/ . Good luck. Installed on 250 Gb (D:). FS9 and FSX Acceleration (locked at 30 FPS).
ScatterbrainKid
A guy here seems to have got his X-55 working for 4 engines but he needed to install FSUIPC to do it, whatever that is, and I don't know if it applies to FSX and FSX:SE both- http://msflights.net/forum/showthread.php?3029-Mult-axis-throttle-amp-FSUIPC
RCChopper
he needed to install FSUIPC to do it, whatever that is, Seriously? No idea what FSUIPC is? It's probably the best module that has ever been made for all versions of flightsim. http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html

It's probably the best module that has ever been made for all versions of flightsim. http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html I'm not an addon junky, i've had FSX Gold for 8 years and it's so beautiful straight out the box that the only things I've added in all that time are some planes and a strip of photoscenery. FSX is like dating a gorgeous but sometimes temperamental woman, so you wouldn't dream of insisting she wears a Wonder Woman outfit or she might slap you round the kisser and storm off..:)
mabe5454
Play with: Select Engine E+engine number (1-4) Select All Engines E+1+2+3+4 until you get four engines back. I use X52 and never need FSUIPC, at least not for Saitek. BTW, I had in the past deleted the E assignment altogether when I remember to do so after a new installation of FSX. Do not care for it. Cheers,
