FS2004 1958 United Air Lines Douglas DC-7. Part of the CalClassic Archive Project. The Douglas DC-7 in United Air Lines 1958 jet delivery colors. The DC-7 allowed the inauguration of non-stop transcontinental service. Most large US airlines had DC-7's. United had 57 in their fleet. The DC-7's were eventually replaced by jets, and usually converted to or sold as freighters. The DC-7 was a domestic aircraft with no navigator position.
