About This File

X-Plane 11 Bell P-59 Airacomet 1.0. This is Jacques Brault's X-Plane 8 P-59 Airacomet, converted for X-Plane 11. The Bell P-59 Airacomet was a twin jet-engined fighter aircraft, the first of the United States, designed and built by Bell Aircraft during World War II. With its large wing area the plane was easy to fly and a good glider, becoming an excellent trainer for getting pilots acquainted with jet power. X-Plane 11 is configured by default for 3D cockpit view, so to use this aircraft you must choose to do one of two things: After loading the aircraft, select 'Option-w' on MacOS for 2D or 'Alt-w' on WinOS for the 2D instrument panel. Thank you to Jacques Brault for creating this aircraft for X-Plane. By Sean McLeod (Aerostarsim).
