X-Plane 11 Lippisch P13a Ramjet Interceptor 1.0. The Lippisch P13a was a proposed delta wing interceptor powered by a coal-fueled ramjet engine. The delta wing design, combined with the simplicity of the ramjet engine and the availability of coal fuel made the design an ideal home defence fighter for a resource strapped Germany at the end of World War II. The aircraft was to be launched by tow or rocket assist to get the ramjet up to operating speed. This model simulates the experience of the operational P13a using data from the postwar analysis of the DM-1, historic research documentation and testing of the X-Plane DM-1 model.
