I dunno, I kinda like big, bulbous lights on the back end...

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

Seriously though, they're part of the model itself and you might be able to remove or at least disable them with ModelConverterX which is free from FSDeveloper.com.

The problem is downloading FS2004 aircraft and placing them in FSX

 

FS2004 lights are much different in FSX

 

I ended up forgetting that they were FS2004 aircraft and thought there was a problem, but there wasn't

 

Placing those aircraft in FS2004 showed the lights were fine

 

My fault entirely, thanks for all responces
