Virtual PILOT
Im flying the Carenado C182 RG, and I realized that when you select the flaps, the flap indicator doesn't align with the desired degree flap extension indicator. For instance when you select the firts stage of flap (10º) the flap indicator move down and stops before reaching the 10º indication, and the same happens when you select thee second stage of flap (20º) the flap indicators stops in the middle of the 10º and 20º indications. It is an error of the manufacturer or the flap system works like this?
lnuss
It's a minor programming error, though I've seen real world ones almost as bad. Larry N. As Skylab would say: Remember: Aviation is NOT an exact Science!
mallcott
The indicator is there to highlight the speed range for that flap setting, not the flap position, which is indicated by the position of the flap lever. I don't think carenado set out to model this foible, but as Larry says, I've seen real ones at least as bad, as the indicator tends to jam the follower cable feed that moves it. Treat it as a realism quirk.
