Wrong section - should be FSX / P3D. Also my original heading has been deleted. It reads: FSX/P3D Douglas DC3 Buffalo Airways 2D and VC Panels. I am hesitant about publishing this as I did not have much documentation to work from. Nevertheless this has a pretty fair reproduction of the Buffalo Airways cockpit in the 2D panel and the VC has a cockpit more similar to the default DC3 with some gauges repositioned. Many gauges are very like the excellent default gauges but have been rewritten and some errors corrected. This panel is designed for 1920X1080 monitors and will not work well on other sizes. An aircraft in Buffalo Airways paint scheme is included although this is a C-47 rather than a DC3. The panel and VC also work fine on the default DC3 but not the Buffalo Airways repaint. Note that the autopilot is basic on the DC3 - only heading and pitch are controlled - so most flying including landing is manual. The GPS can be used as a guide but is not linked to the autopilot. Please read instructions.
If you have tried to install 5 different FMCs and got the same result then it is time to look at your system. Its just not working properly. Are you using FSX Acceleration? You need to for the latest software. You say above you have FSX SE. Perhaps reinstall FSX with Acceleration. In the above the only problem is you have the FMC twice. This should not be a big problem but maybe on your system it is. Does your system have sufficient graphics memory?
VNAV activation only activates VNAV. You still need to activate LNAV through your Autopilot. As stated in the instructions the Altitude and speed can each be changed twice when in cruise.
Yes many of the functions on the VC do not work the same as the 2D panel. This is because many of them are built into the default model and can not be changed. You can generally rely on the 2D panel to work correctly but the VC is variable. G. Munro
Please note that this gauge was not written by Daniel Rodriguez but is in fact a copy of my gauge from my Boeing 787 panel;. It would have been nice if the alleged "author" had mentioned this. G. Munro
Actually this happened by accident during development and it seemed like a good idea so I left it like that. You can get rid of it just be switching the MFD to another screen. I suppose I could find a way to stop it (although I never figured out why it happens) but its debatable whether its a bug or a feature. G. Munro
The VS is already controlled by the mouse wheel. Yes it is possible to convert IAS and Heading to be controlled by the mouse wheel by editing the Autopilot.xml file. Its a fairly minor change. Actually the Pitot heat comes on when you switch on the Wing Deice. I had not realised it is always on - hence the reason there is no Pitot heat switch I guess. If you want to modify the XML to make it permanently on then do he following: In XUpdate.xml add the line (>K:PITOT_HEAT_TOGGLE) at Line 47 In Overhead Deice Panel.xml delete line 396. G. Munro
The switch below needs to be in Manual. Auto means the frequency is set by FMC and manual setting is blocked. Use left and right click to rotate the numbers. Its all in the instructions. G. Munro
Yes, I found this problem can occur if Nav.1 in the [Radio] section of the aircraft.cfg is set to 1,0,1. If you change this to 1,1,1 and Nav 2 to 1,1,0 it should be OK. There are a few other bugs I have found too - e.g. the approach lines on the Standby Attitude indicator are back to front. I will try to publish some fixes reasonably soon. The radio problem however is not really a bug - its a result of the configuration. G. Munro G. Munro
You do not need V2 and V1 - the package is complete. If you can not unzip the file then your download may have been corrupted. If you can then read the instructions. Best Regards, G. Munro
ILS Heading Selector? Do you mean the Localiser / Approach which is the LOC and APP buttons on the Autopilot? If you mean the course heading selector this can be selected on the heading window or the bank dial. Best Regards, G. Munro
