/images/notams/notams20/vsky0127/falke-4.jpgThe VSKYLABS SF-25C Falke Project v2.0 was just released! The project's built-in STMA Autoupdater had a huge "chunk" todigest in the past few days...going from v1.5 to v2.0...but allprogressive updates via the auto-updater are now completed. The stores are updated with v2.0 build. If anyone is experiencingissues - it is recommended to download the updated v2.0 as it willreduce the gap between the *present* and the *future* states of theprojects. /images/notams/notams20/vsky0203.jpgThe updating process for the Falke will continue in the nearfuture! There is plenty more to come! Source

/images/notams/notams20/vsky0127/falke-4.jpgVSKYLABS Falke pilots, the VSKYLABS SF-25C Project is about to beupdated...within 24-72 hours! Upcoming version v1.5 is very cool...as it is including anadditional, second variant - a tail dragger Falke! The tail-wheel Falke is a bit easier to handle than a traditionaltail-wheel aircraft, mainly because the Falke is sitting very low andclose to the ground, and being built as a glider, with its long taildesign, it is demonstrating a stable directional stabilitycharacteristics. /images/notams/notams20/vsky0127/falke-1.jpgThe Falke tail-wheel is steerable by rudder action, viaspring-attachment mechanism, which allows it to over-steer in tightturns. This mode of operation, which is normally being used on taxi, takeoff and landing phases is called "locked" mode (different than theusual locking mechanism on tail-draggers aircraft which sets thetail-wheel to a fully locked position, which restricts its movementwith the rudder or due to other forces. There are versions of the Falke which are equipped with anunlockable 360 pilot degrees tailwheel which allows maximum groundmaneuverability. The upcoming variant of the VSKYLABS SF-25c will havethe locked tail-wheel configuration. /images/notams/notams20/vsky0127/falke-2.jpgAlthough being a tail-wheel aircraft, due to its forgivingtail-wheel handling characteristics, it may serve as a good startingpoint for pilots who are new to tail-wheel aircraft. However, due toits forgiving tail-wheel handling characteristics, the tail-wheelFalke cannot "replace" full traditional tail-wheel aircraft training(such as the Piper Cub or similar) for full training purposes. But assaid, it is a good starting point which is allowing to practice thebasic elements of tail-wheel aircraft. The update will be injected, automatically via the included STMAautoupdater, so it will reach the users automatically and with ease. /images/notams/notams20/vsky0127/falke-3.jpgSource Project page at VSKYLABS We have quite a nice freeware model of this aircraft/glider availablein the file library. It's not nearly as detailed, but for thosewishing to get their feet wet, it's quite enjoyable: X-Plane 11:sf-25b_falke_xp1105.zip X-Plane 10:sf-25b_10_falke.zip
