/images/notams/notams21/kimb0514/HS16.jpgWell known aircraft developer Jennifer Kimball has created awonderful freeware model of the Henschel HS-123. This HS-123 package comes with four variants. Two military: onewith and without wheel pants and two civilian: one with and withoutthe aux tank. /images/notams/notams21/kimb0514/HS1.jpgThe civilian version comes with a Garmin 530 mounted where theweapons control switches would be. The military model just has aweapons control switch area there and no Garmin. HS-123s were dive bombing/close support aircraft flown by theGerman Luftwaffe, Spanish Air force, and Republic of China AirForce. They were produced from 1936 to 1938 and about 265 of them werebuilt. The demilitarized version is fictional but it is fun and itcomes with some fun paints. /images/notams/notams21/kimb0514/HS4.jpg /images/notams/notams21/kimb0514/HS13.jpgLike many of Jennifer's models, this aircraft is freeware, but ifyou enjoy flying it, why not send her a small thank you. /images/notams/notams21/jenn0416/jenn0416.jpgJennifer Kimball has created a new freeware model for X-Plane, theHenschel Hs 126. The Henschel Hs 126 was a German two-seat reconnaissance andobservation aircraft of World War II that was derived from theHenschel Hs 122. The pilot was seated in a protected cockpit under theparasol wing and the gunner in an open rear cockpit. The prototypeaircraft frame was that of a Hs 122A fitted with a Junkers engine. The Hs 126 was well received for its good short takeoff andlow-speed characteristics which were needed at the time. It was putinto service for a few years, but was soon superseded by thegeneral-purpose, STOL Fieseler Fi 156 Storch and the medium-rangeFocke-Wulf Fw 189 "flying eye". /images/notams/notams21/jenn0416/hs126-1.jpg /images/notams/notams21/jenn0416/hs126-2.jpg /images/notams/notams21/jenn0416/hs126-3.jpgIf you enjoy Jennifer's Henschel Hs 126, then why not pop over tothe store and check out her fantasticBrewster F2A Buffalo for XP11.
