/images/notams/notams21/crj1111/crj1111.jpgPiloting commuter aircraft is most attractive for flight simulatorfans that like flying according to Instrument flight rules (IFR), buthave limited time available to spend. Commuter aircraft servicingconnections from smaller airports to the big hubs and vice versa andare intensive flying in the real world as well as in thesimulator. /images/notams/notams21/crj1111/crj-5.jpgA famous representative of this aircraft category is the Bombardier(nowadays Mitsubishi) CRJ line of 50 to 100 passengers. Originallydeveloped to replace the more uncomfortable and noisier turboproprange in this class, the beautiful, sleek CRJ airliners were ofparticular interest to airlines wanting to offer jet feeling on shortroutes. Their specific design with the engines in the back, low wing andslim fuselage, allowing only 2-2 seat arrangements, made them looksportive and a bit like the business jets. Their avionics and systems have been leading edge at the time ofdevelopment and highly automated to reduce the work load of pilots inthe tight schedules and shortest turn-around times. /images/notams/notams21/crj1111/crj-2.jpgPilots like to fly them because they are powerful, agile, and a joyto fly manually. They also demand more flying skill than a modernAirbus or Boeing, because the ability to automate the flight islimited. For example, it is not possible to control the airspeedduring the flight. In addition, the airports you fly to may requiremore manual flying due to lack of navigational installation or scenicenvironments. The Aerosoft CRJ Bundle 550/700/900/1000 for the current MicrosoftFlight Simulator has been built on the experience of the developersfrom the CRJ family offered for FSX and Prepar3D. Yet the newtechnology available within MSFS gave all developers involved theopportunity to use the latest in design, system and flight modelprogramming. Therefore, they were reconstructed from ground up tomatch the new standard in look, function and flyingcharacteristics. This small high- end airliner was created with thegracious support of Microsoft and Asobo, which ensured that the newfeatures of the Microsoft Flight Simulator could be implemented. /images/notams/notams21/crj1111/crj-3.jpgFeaturesModelingHighly detailed modeling based on many photos of the original aircraftCovered with high resolution PBR textures that convey virtual reality extremely wellThe possibilities of the new flight simulator engine are mostly utilizedFluid animations of moving parts such as landing gear, flaps and doorsThe cockpit shows detailed modeling and animations that provide a realistic look and feel of this popular airlinerSupport of advanced features, such as rain effects, etc.The flight model is based on Flight Simulator’s new aerodynamic model to provide more realistic behavior of the CRJ in all flight conditions. The CRJ programme was acquired by Japanese corporationMitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI RJ Aviation Group) in a deal thatclosed 1 June 2020. Bombardier subsequently completed assembly of theorder backlog on behalf of Mitsubishi. Source Aerosoft Releases CRJ 550/700 for MSFS 2020

You will find them at most airports worldwide. Although not verypopular with passengers as those seats are indeed very small and youcannot even stand upright if you are tall, airline companies preferthem because they are efficient and reliable. They are still inproduction, and although the newer models have better seats, largeroverhead bins and better sound proofing they will never be reallycomfortable. Pilots like to fly them because they are powerful, agile, and a joyto fly manually. It is often described as “sportyâ€. They also demandmore flying skill than a modern Airbus or Boeing because the flightmanagement systems are limited, for example: no auto throttle and onlyadvisory vertical navigation. In our simulators, they were missing for a long time, but theAerosoft / Digital Aviation CRJ 700/900 X provides the aircraft wehave all been waiting for. As with all internal aircraft projects, theCRJ was created with the job of the pilot in mind. It fully focuses onthe task of piloting this aircraft. We feel that things that havenever happened in real life should not play a major role and thatallows us to create a high-end aircraft for a modest price. Purchase Aerosoft - CRJ 700/900

/images/notams/notams18/aero0717.jpgService Pack 1 for theCRJwith the version number 1.2.0 is available for download now. Customersof Aerosoft can download the new version from the downloads section oftheir shop accounts. Customers of other online shops will be able todownload the new version from the other shops soon (please be patientwhile they prepare everything). The 64-bit version of CRJ Service Pack 1 has been built with the latest Prepar3D v4.3 SDK tools. Therefore, Prepar3D 4.3 is a requirement for its use.As Mathijs already wrote, Service Pack 1 marks the end of CRJ development for the 32-bit platforms. This doesn't mean that we're not going to fix issues that come up, it just means that the development of new features will be exclusively for Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v4.Like the Airbus a few days ago, the CRJ now also comes with the Aerosoft Updater which allows us to provide new versions much quicker than we would be able to if we have to build installers all the time. It also provides you with an easy way to check if your CRJ is current or not.Source /images/notams/notams17/aero0803/aerosoft-crj-1.jpgSP1 Closes The 32 Bit DevelopmentThe SP1 version will be the last new version for 32 bitsimulators. Of course major bugs will still be addressed but no newfunctionality will not be added. The reason for this is two fold, the32 bit commercial market is drying up very fast and the 64 bit market israpidly developing. Next to that it is hard to create an attractiveproduct under the limitations of the 32 bit environment. Note that the 64 bit SP1 version is compiled with the new compilers(that's why it needs P3D v4.3 and is not compatible with olderversions), thus being able to use the major advantages of thosemodels. All praise to Lockheed for keeping the development of P3D onthe front burner! Source /images/notams/notams17/aero0803/aerosoft-crj-cockpit.jpg
