beroun
Hi, Have this nice Engine Reversers smoke effect blowing forward from the Caravelle's two rear engines see lights 6 and 7 below. BUT when I install the same effect in another aircraft and apply the reverser on landing the smoke is not showing (BAC111 in my case and others)? Any idea what might be causing it? mrzippy
Are you using the exact same coordinates? Could be the positioning is incorrect for the other aircraft Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
beroun
Hi Charlie, I am using the right coordinates, the TR smoke just does not show. Bit of a mystery since the exhaust smokes show just fine when I install these. It is just this TR smoke acting up. Cheers Peter Bendl ex. mrzippy
light.6 = 7, xxx, xxx etc. The 7 is for recognition lights. Do these other aircraft have recognition lights? What happens if you turn on your battery and hit the L key to turn on all lights looking in an outside view? Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer! beroun
Hi Chuck, Many Thanks it works fine but I am only 1/2 way there. The reverser smoke is now visible all the time during take-off and flight+++?? In Caravelle it only shows correctly only when the thrust reverse is applied. P. Peter Bendl ex. mrzippy
Maybe something in the Caravelle's aircraft or panel.cfg files will cover when it is seen! Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
beroun
Thanks again, yes must be in panel.cfg, since I use this panel on different Caravelle aircraft and the smoke is showing correctly in each. Must be in c10rbgt2 gauge. Will try to ID what is limiting smoke to TR deployment only. Quite challenging, I expect:) Peter Bendl ex. beroun
Hi again, hit the bulls eye. The panel gauge "Digital!Turbine_EPR_controller_JT8D-7" dictates the reverser smoke (only showing when TR is selected) on landing. Funny, because neither Caravelle or BAC111 have the JT8Ds. You pointed me in a right direction Chuck. Many Thanks! Peter Bendl ex. British Airways

GKKnupper
one of the gauges are preventing the light to come on. just rename the panel file to ppanel , check in the aircraft.cfg file what panel name is used for the plane you are flying, if it not the panel name than just butcher the name either in the config or rename the panel name name. to fly the plane you do not have to have a panel. the keyboard can do the function , with the f-keys.. phase 2 deactivate all gauges by putting a ";" in front of them or in blocks to find which gauge does it. IF you would like to send me one of the planes which does not work I will fix it for you FREE of charge (hahaha) gkcherry11@t-online.de sincerely g. kirschstei
