alexbreza
Need help? I downloaded the file called "posky-fs9_klm_ph-bfv.zip" and did exaclty what it said below in the read me text and the plane does not show up when I want to change aircraft. Is there something else I'm missing to do? FSX Extract the folder called: "Posky 747-406M KLM PH-BFV" into your airplanes folder: c:/programfiles/microsoft games/microsoft flightsimulator x/ simobjects / airplanes Then, copy the sound folder, and paste it into your main Effects folder: c:/programfiles/microsoft games/microsoft flightsimulator x / sound Thank you! Prostock
I'm dl'ing it now, Huge File. First off, you don't copy the "Sound" Folder & paste into you Effects folder. The "Effects" that are included with any addon's go into you "Effects Folder". I'll let you know what I find out. I'm sure others will lend a hand as well. PhantomTweak
c:/programfiles/microsoft games/microsoft flightsimulator x/ simobjects / airplanes Easy: See the part highlighted in red? IGNORE it. Substitute the path where YOUR flight sim is. Like, for example: D:\temp\FSX\Simobjects.... etc. I have FSX:SE, so my pathing is : D:\steam\steamapps\common\FSX...etc You see? SI`! Does that help? Pat☺ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again! mrzippy
Why are you trying to add an FS2004 aircraft to FSX. Some work ok and some don't! It shows up fine under Project OpenSky, not Boeing! Make sure you have everything I circled in RED. Edited April 8, 2020 by mrzippy Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!

PAULCRAIG
Why are you bothering with the FS9 model when you could have an FSX native model KLM Boeing 747-406M Combi painted by me, the complete aircraft is available in the library, search for klm_nc_posky_b747-400m.zip, it also includes the default 747-400 VC. alexbreza
Why are you bothering with the FS9 model when you could have an FSX native model KLM Boeing 747-406M Combi painted by me, the complete aircraft is available in the library, search for klm_nc_posky_b747-400m.zip, it also includes the default 747-400 VC. Hi Paul I went and downloaded the file Name: klm_nc_posky_b747-400m.zip Size: 13,762,100 Date: 10-14-2015 After unzipping it had 6 file folders (Boeing 747 check files, Boeing 747 ref files, Model.M.GE, Panel, Sound, and Texture.KLM. The text document with install says "Install: Just unzip the file and send the Aircrafts folder to the FS2004 AIRCRAFT FOLDER. The contents of the "747-effects" folder needs to be copied into the main EFFECTS folder." There is no Effects Folder do I need it? The install works and the KLM shows up. Thank you for your help Paul much appreciated. mrzippy
You need to read the INSTALLATION Readme and not the POSKY readme! Installation: ------------ Unzip downloaded files to a temporary folder Copy & paste the "Posky Boeing 747-400M GE V4" folder into your FSX Airplanes folder located by default as below: FSX OS ©/Program Files(x86)/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/SimObjects/Airplanes Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
