Although Jan's paint of the Hercules is fictional the Navy did fly a large seaplane in the late 1940s and early 1950s timeframe. The JRM-1 Martin "Mars" which was roughly one-half the size of the Hercules. One of these aircraft is still flying as a fire-fighting water bomber in the U.S. Northwest. There's an FSX version of the water bomber in the Library with this filename: martin_mars_firebomber.zip Here's a pic of the original Navy Mars.
