When I go to change aircraft/flight I get this (black screen) once it appears can't do much of anything an attempt to go to flight results in a black screen on flight screen. If selecting another aircraft yields the same black screen, you could try letting FSX rebuild the FSX cfg file. Go to C:\Users\your file ID name\App Data\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\fsx cfg, Cut\Paste it to your desktop (for future reference if you need it), restart FSX and it will build you a new FSX cfg file.
