fs9876
Having binged on Youtube videos from 2021 Airventure over the last two weeks, I wanted to try the VFR Fisk arrival for myself. Had an old computer and FS2002. I remember the EAA Airventure addon from when it was released in 2002, but don't remember if I downloaded it or not. At 22mb, it was a lot of space taken up on a 50 or 100 mb hard drive back then. Checked my catalog of old software downloads, but no joy. So I started searching online. Lo and behold, it can't be found anywhere! Microsoft has restructured their website so extensively that this download is long gone. Websites that mention the link list the old link that now doesn't exist, as Microsoft seems to be focusing on Xbox games. Did they legally block anyone from hosting the file, such as Flightsim.com, Simviation, etc.? I realize that the majority of simmers are probably using the latest and greatest hardware and FS version. But what about those of us that still value FS2002? Could Flightsim make it available as a download?
fs9876
Update. I found this addon at https://www.fs2000.org/category/downloads/miscellaneus/ Installed it. I'm underwhelmed.
lnuss
If it's the same one I had back then it was pretty good for its day. You probably had set your expectations too high for a 19 year old scenery. Larry N. As Skylab would say: Remember: Aviation is NOT an exact Science!
