1happykamper
I am a flight simmer and a traveler. I need a portable computer to run fs2020 What portable Windows based system are you using. I'm especially interested in hardware 2 years old... Far less expensive. Thanks. Sent from my SM-G965N using Tapatalk

rockinrobin
Zero replies. Hmmmm Sent from my SM-G965N using Tapatalk Perhaps because MSFS2020 requires lots of computer power to run well, pointing at desktops and not laptops (portables). Never been a big fan of laptops, so wouldn't know what to suggest.
Cavulife
Take a look at Alienware laptops. They’ve always got some very powerful offerings, but pretty expensive. I used to run FSX off one for a couple of years.
plainsman
Keep in mind the computer is only half your problem, you will also need a fast internet connection. This may not be the best venue for a portable sim at this stage? The GPU has to be a pretty strong processor even at 1080p, to get frame rates that will make the program satisfying. I am sure there is a laptop that could do it, but it won't be a two year old cheapie! loki
What's your budget? While older models may be less expensive, they may not meet the requirements.
plainsman
https://www.avadirect.com/custom-gaming-laptops I have used these guys on my last three desktops, going back to the original I7 920. It is rare when your experience is consistently good these days, but I have always been extremely pleased with every facet of the process with these guys!! The computer I am using now they built last fall.
