With FS9 & FSX there was an Item that allowed the Use of FS9 & FSX without using Disk 1.

will this happen in the near future with MSFS 2020 Please?

Thanks

Paul

Hell everybody.

Yet another Problem, beginning to think it's me?

Yesterday, when I opened the World Map I had the Option of Selecting an Airport I.E Seattle Tacoma, Chicago o' Hare, Los Angeles etc. etc with the option of Arrival or Departure to or from.

Today? the Airports are still there! and I can even Zoom In to the Runways but there is no Text box being displayed for the Arrival/Departure selection?

Is this Me or is this new MSFS really that Screwy?

thanks

Hi Andrew, thanks for reply.

The Booklet is useless only mentions Activation briefly.

Thinking of doing a completely new Install but need to know if the current Install needs removing (Instalation/uninstall seem to be different in previous versions of Windows 10/MSFS).

Is this possibly because I've purchased a Gaming PC?

Thanks

Paul.

Hi Andrew and all others, Here is the latest information.

Have reinstalled new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, now complete with the latest Updates.

Seems to be working OK but a little disappointed it doesn't have the free flight choice, as previous versions did. where you could select an Aircraft and fly where you wanted?

Will see how it goes?

Many thanks

Paul.

1. Press Any key to start doesn't always work? have to return to Desktop and start again.

2. Is there or will there be a Joystick option?

Many thanks.

You need disk 1 in your drive and when it says Press any key after you click mouse button or controller it will continue to Load you shouldn't have to return to desktop .

Paul.

But there is, select World Map from the home menu and there you can select your aircraft, loadout, airport for departure and arrival, create flightplan, adjust weather etc.

Hi Everybody, here's where I'm at now

Having finally got this thing up and running, can get into the Air but having Issues with Airspeed and Altitude using Auto Pilot.

Airspeed set at 150 Knots says I'm doing 259 knots does not seem to adjust?

Altitude set at 5000 Feet says I'm at 1800 Feet and not climbing?

Also regarding Aircraft collected over the Years in FS9 & FSX?

Are these now obsolete? If so what a waste of Time and Effort!!! although not surprised, has happened before.

Many thanks

Regards

Sounds like you don't have the autopilot set up properly...there's more to it than just pressing the ALT key. Would also help if you specified which aircraft you're flying, since there are several different autopilots in the sim.

There are some youtube videos out there explaining how the various autopilots work...sounds like it's time for some studying!

Yes, it is very different than FSX. You have modes and some aircraft also have functions (where an FMC or the pilot can give control) and sequencing can be important (doing things in the correct order).
