After spending a couple of weeks on the new MSFS2020, I am still going to be using v4.5 A LOT. The scenery isn't sexy but the PMDG 737-700 expansion pack runs really well on it.

You are certainly not the only one... I am hanging in there too!

I still use it also. I didn't take the leap to MSFS2020 yet. I think I will wait awhile for all the bugs to get worked out before I'll take the plunge.
Allow me to quote:
"Still an update or two for v4.5/V5 yet..."
V. 4.5 - no, L-M's development has ceased.
V. 5 - yes.

I expect to be enjoying 4.5 for a few years. I'll buy FS2020 in a few weeks or months, but it will be a long time, if ever, before FS has the selection of aircraft available for P3D. Also, for now, many of the small airports I like to fly into are better rendered in 3rd-party P3D scenery than in FS2020.

They NEVER have supported earlier versions with additional development. Only because of many loud complaints did they even include the ability to download earlier versions. Initially, when they released a new major version, the other one disappeared. Now, 4.5 is dead to further developments but 5.x and 6.0 are still viable.

"Am I the only one still using (and liking) V4.5?"
Not alone...I use it, plus X-Plane (excellent community).
