kjadam
Hello, I am modelling an Ikarus C42 and am very new to flight simulator. Would someone mind pointing me in the right direction for a step by step process of the formulas/equations for writing the aircraft files as I would like calculate all of these: Pitch CMih CMde CMde due to propwash CLq CL adot CM adot CMq CMq due to propwash CMo CM flap CM delta trim CM gear Side Force CyB CyP CyR Cy Delta Rudder Roll ClB ClP ClR Cl Delta Aileron Cl Delta Rudder Yaw CnB CnP CnR CnR due to propwash Cn Delta Aileron Cn Delta Rudder Cn Delta Rudder due to propwash Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance :-)

Thank you in advance :-) .Air and .cfg files are very much art as well as science. There are very few formulae and you CANNOT simply `plug in the numbers` and get anything close to true fidelity. I spent more than a year on an accurate rendition of a Fokker 50 and even then needed more than a little help from the `artists`when running into a brick wall. I hate to say `forget it`, but what you are asking for will not get the result you seek.
il88pp
Check out the program "aircraft airfile manager" (AAM). Is in the flightsim.com file library. (But there may be a newer version online, use google.) It displays the .air file values/graphs as actual graphs. Very helpful to have it displayed graphically. I think it also has helpful info when clicking on (or hovering mouse over) an entry. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
il88pp
You can also find useful links to guides about air file (on FSDeveloper.com) on the site below: https://www.aero.sors.fr/fsairfile.html [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
