Missing FSX Hermes

Hi,

Hope someone can help with an odd problem with this zip file, "hermes_v20x"

I am trying to install Jens B Kristensen's "HP81 Hermes" into FSX, but although it

seems to install ok in the usual fsx/simobjects/airplanes folder, it aint there:( !!!

I am using FSX SP2, on W10 64bit, and have never had this happen before, the

installer finds FSX and allegedly installs it, and If I try and re-install, it gives me

3 options to modify, repair or remove the installation, so I do and try again, but

to no avail:confused:

I have tried to install it to folders in various locations on the PC, but still no luck,

so unless there is a compatibility issue, I am stumped

The installer doesn't auto-detect your FSX installation location.

You need to manuallly guide it to \Simobjects\Airplanes.

After doing that, no problems.

If you are sure you did the install correctly, make sure you have everything I show in the red circles.

You are dead right, I didn't realise the installer was pointing to a Microsoft Games

folder in "programme files (x86)", so I changed it to where the FSX folder is on

my PC, and wallah, as Mr Zippy pointed out, it is now in my FSX airplanes folder

for all to see, so thanks to you both, I appreciate you help:)

I guess it goes to show it is worth looking and checking where the installer is

pointing instead of just assuming it is the right place:o, even after 12 years with

these sims, they can still catch you out!!
