newbie, San Francisco scenery question...help!

well I have given up on FSX and took the dive into X-plane. wow... there are a lot to learn being that it is so different than FSX adding scenery, aircraft and so forth. My question is, I am trying to make San Francisco and KSFO look more realistic as I have done in FSX. I downloaded San Francisco V2 and KSFO, installed and all worked well. Then I downloaded Orthophotos Project California V5 and San Francisco HD. The Orthophotos scenery looks great but all of the San Francisco V2 and KSFO Scenery are missing. Are these scenery compatible might I have done something wrong. Any advice is greatly welcome.

Hi Scotty.

XP uses "scenery_packs.ini", a text file that you can edit, that controls the scenery load sequence / priority. I posted a a while back on how that is prioritized, but here is my .ini that you can use a guide until you get to understand, the airports need to be first, see my file. If you load something else at a later point it typically gets placed in a too high a priority that masks other scenery.

Somewhat complex but doable.

@flytv1 you may have answered one of my problems, I downloaded all the addon scenery files needed to compliment some of these airfields, every now and again when I fly in range I get a popup telling me some scenery files are missing from airportX.

Yet I have all the scenery objects for the airport to work.
