mjnico
Hi gents! It’s been about a year since I’ve been on here. I have been trying to install FS9 on an old laptop, which used to have it, and now it seems to lock up. I’m running windows 7 32 bit (again, it’s old!) and while the install reaches 100%, it goes to the “Decompressing scenery files, please wait. Currently extracting:World Files†... it’s been on “World Files†for about 4 hours now.... the mouse is giving me the ol’ “wait I’m thinking†spool. Can’t even start task manager. I do have the no disc patch to install next, but I’m wondering if this is occurring due to that one windows update that prevented the program from running with the disc awhile back..? Any advice is appreciated. Cheers, - Dan
tgibson_new
Make sure you run the installer as an administrator (Run As Administrator). Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.com
Stanley Brown
If you didn,t uninstall the 9.1 patch before uninstalling on this laptop that can also give problems when trying to reinstall. Try running the 9.1 uninstall and then installing again. You must also remove the backup folder that was created when the 9.1 patch was installed.
