dogdish
I installed Flight Simulator 2000 Professional Edition. Then used the "special" FS2000.EXE that allows it to run in windows 7~10. THANK YOU Blaine White... I used the following steps to get FS2000 installed and running on Windows 10 without requiring a VM. 1. Ran the FS2000 setup program as administrator in compatability mode for Windows 98 2. During install ran custom install to disk root directory - i.e. C:\FS2000 3. Installed complete (including all of scenery cd disk 2). 4. Copied into c:\FS2000 the no-cd version of FS2000.exe 5. Right clicked c:\FS2000\FS2000.exe and set to run as administrator in compatability for Windows 98. Running beautifully from desktop shortcut together with added-in aircraft. Yea it works! Would like to install a FS 2000 update patch so put the original FS2000.EXE back and tried to run the patch installer. Got this error with first patch below... FS2000 Professional Edition Patch X Error loading W95INF32.DLL How to fix this? Also found 2 different patches FS2000_Pro_Update2B.exe 8.89mb and FS2000_Pro_Patch_Signed.exe 8.62mb What is difference in two patches? dogdish
Seriously, Over a 180 views and nobody with Windows 7~10 has attempted to install the patches to FS 2000? Why am I always a pioneer with my issues? Gigabyte GA-X99 Gaming G1, i7-5960X, Noctua NH-D14, Crucial Ballistix Elite 64Gb, Nvidia GTX Titan X, Creative ZxR, Ableconn PEXM2-130, WD Black SN750 250Gb & 2Tb NVMe/Gold 10Tb HDD, Sony BDU-X10S BD-ROM, PC Power & Cooling 1200w, Cosmos C700M, Noctua iPPC 140mm x6, Logitech M570/K800, WinX64 7 Ultimate/10 Pro
BigErn77
I got the same dll error. But, I got the patch to work running it in Windows XP (Service Pack 2) compatibility mode and also running it as administrator. Also, I did also see that other patch file out there (FS2000_Pro_Patch_Signed.exe). I don't know what the difference is, but FS2000_Pro_Update2B.exe is the one I used at it worked fine.
