inky160
Where would I find all my saved *.pln files in FSX Gold. And, is it possible to transfer FSX flight plan files over to FSX Steam? mrzippy
Saved flight plans are saved in My Documents/Flight Simulator X folder. You can check to see if FSX-SE uses the same location. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!

I found there location example below. Do the plans include WX and plane settings etc? mrzippy
No weather or aircraft settings. Just the departure airport and the arriving airport. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
inky160
No weather or aircraft settings. Just the departure airport and the arriving airport. So, is it reasonable to assume that if I bundle the .PLN plan files, complete with the associated WX, Save and FLT files for my B737 and F18, that would be enough to support a duplicate flight plan in FSX Steam. Guess I'll have to try it. Thoughts? llivaudais
I think you'll find success. Each sim has its own custom name in the documents folder but they should transfer fine. Note that the documents folder is critical as a saving location for flights (FLT, WX - the FSSAVE file is just the image that was saved with the flight and is NOT essential) but the flightplans .PLN can be anywhere; FSX just defaults them to the same folder as the saved flights. PhantomTweak
I have FSX:SE. I can say that yes, they will work the same for :SE as they will for FSX. Have fun!Pat☺ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!
