70nlights
What is the standard traffic pattern altitude for a twin? I have heard it is the standard 1,000 ft. AGL, but I have also heard it is 1,500 ft. AGL. Which is correct?
lnuss
Typically, at most fields, it is the same as for a single engine -- their performance is in line with Bonanzas and such. Jets are likely to use a little higher, but a major reason for a specific pattern altitude is so that everyone can know where to look for other traffic, so most (not all) of the airports that have a separate pattern altitude for higher/faster aircraft will have towers. Note, though, that not all fields have a 1,000 foot pattern -- some may be 600 or 800 feet, though those are generally published to reflect that. Larry N.
