Hi all,

When I push the throttles full on take off I am getting that warning sound horn sounds. I thought I had everything set for take off correctly. I am using pmSounds with P3D v 4.

Anyone have an idea on where or what I should check so to stop the take warning horns.

Thanks.

Well, if "full throttle" is what the plane you're talking about takes, then ok, there's a problem. A lot of commercial jets don't use the MIL setting for take-off.

Most GA planes do call for full throttle.

Military planes take either MIL or MAX (full afterburner, or some afterburner stage, anyway) depending on their gross weight.

So, what plane? Does it take full power for take-off? What does the warning horn indicate? Going too fast? Throttle position? Flap position?

Most of the time, the warning horn can be silenced by pressing either the Master Caution light, or a Horn Silence button. Have you tried either of those two?

Anything in all this help?

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

Hi,

Well what I meant was that even when I just start pushing the throttles forward for take off, that take off warning starts. 3 loud sort of beeps. I am using the Magenta 737 plane. As for any cutoffs, where would they be, as I am in the building stages and am using outside view along with the main panel on one monitor. I tried to remove the take off warning in the pmSounds ini file but it would not let me. Its strange as I seem to have the main items correct, ie, flaps, spoilers, but can wrong fuel or something else set off the warning? Thanks

Look for the checklist and/or instruction manual or contact the developer. Your problem is that you do not know how to fly the a/c. The warnings tell you that the a/c is not properly configured for takeoff. Usually it has to do with trim or flap settings.

Hi,

Even when I go to a 737 that I flew with FSX gives me the take off warning sounds. I have checked everything over. Magenta folks say its prob my trim, but I have it in the green zone like I have always done.

Can anyone think of why I get the take off warning sounds and only on throttle 1 when advanced. Throttle 2 advanced does not sound the warning. Is that just the way the game is set up? How about being able to turn off the take off warning?

Thanks

?? Really?

As with FSX, there should be sound folders for this aircraft or, possibly, a main sound folder. Start hunting for that warning sound and the either delete it or silence it.

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

Have you considered NOT using pmSounds and seeing if the problem still exists? Shut down or prevent it from starting, then try a takeoff?

Worth a try :)
