nrscroller
Hi I just gt ms flight sim 4 and combat sim 3 at a thrift store this past weekend and I would like to run it, but my laptop and desktop are both on windows 7. I loaded it up but it won't run. What is an easy fix for this problem. Thanks Bill
lmhariano
I guess you're talking about CFS3 and FS2004. At least for FS2004, a Windows Update disabled the ability to use Disc 4 as a security measure. Because of this update (forced by the owners of FS9's copyright themselves), I see only two options: 1) Disable the update (I don't remember the number). 2) Using the No-CD patch (you'll need to find it, it's a sensitive topic). tgibson_new
If this is about FS2004, here is some info about that problem: http://calclassic.proboards.com/thread/7470/fs2004-start-read If this is about FS4 - if it starts from a DOS window (i.e. the instructions say to type in a file name and press enter) you can get a DOS box by holding down the Shift key and RIGHT clicking the FS4 folder, then choosing Open Command Window Here. Then follow the instructions to start it. Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.com
steve0616
If you bought FS2004, the Windows update you need to uninstall is KB3086225. Keep in mind every time Windows does a new update it will add it back unless you choose which updates to install.

napamule2
The way you can tell if you DID update FS9.0 to FS9.1 is to look for a folder named 'BACKUP' under the FS2004 main folder. You can get the FS9.1 update from google search and even from cnet.com.
