ColR1948
I have a new PC and I'm in the process of transferring most of my FS9 stuff over to it, I have or should I say had lots of call signs in EVP, so I installed a fresh version on the new PC. So my question, is there a place EVP stores the call sings I had or have I lost them now?
johnhinson
They are all embedded into a single file which replaces FS's original. I wouldn't advise just copying the old one across as you will run into problems when you next want to makie a change. Your best bet (I am pretty certain this will work) is to copy the entire Editvoicepack directory and contents to your new computer. If you run an update from there it should update your FS. It will be much quicker than inporting all the call signs into a clean EVP installation. John http://www.adventure-unlimited.org My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star! lmoelleb
The data is stored in C:\ProgramData\EditVoicepack Copy this folder to your new computer and your callsigns will be available next time you start EditVoicepack. johnhinson
Interesting . . . I have nothing there. The actual data is in a hefty file named EditVoicepackData.xml which is (in my installation) inside the main Editvociepack directory alongside the software, wherever that may have been installed. The only thing I have on drive C is the UserPreferences.xml file, this may vary in location according to Windows version. So maybe different versions install their files in different places. Mine is 3.1.1750.19464 . Best regards, John http://www.adventure-unlimited.org My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star!
