Missions not finding the right aircraft.

I have tried several missions for FSX and can't get them to use the right aircraft for the mission.I have downloaded the missions and the aircraft from this website and then installed them and they work, just not together. So I assumed something was wrong with the programming and deleted them. Then tried other sites, still had the same problem. I'm sure it is something I'm doing to cause this problem but I don't know how to fix it.

What exact Mission are you trying? So the download includes both the aircraft and Mission in the same package? You can see both the aircraft and the Mission in the list but when choosing the Mission, it can't find the aircraft?

Are you getting an "Aircraft Initialization" error when choosing that Mission? Can You choose that included aircraft for a Free Flight?

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

Just to be clear these missions you are downloading...

These things are usually coded for a VERY SPECIFIC AIRCRAFT. Not just any 737, etc. but usually a plane made by a specific vendor. These missions will get information from the aircraft instruments and your location in the sim to move along in the adventure. Just any old plane will make it unlikely the adventure will get the data it needs to move on. If you start the mission and the plane will not load, you do not have the specific plane needed or the plane is installed incorrectly.

A "good" adventure distribution will have documentation with it to instruct you how to get the plane, the adventure and any flight plan/saved flight installed and set up correctly.

Out of 200+ 'Missions' (actually there are 500+) there is maybe 2 or 3 that I would bother to download yet alone 'fly'. Why would I want to download a 60 Mb 'Mission' file? NUTS! Then they say 'You will need scenery download'. Or 'You will need aircraft download'. Or Orbx scenery. Or payware aircraft. You may need to understand Spanish or French to decipher the 'ReadMe' or 'Instructions'. They don't know what they are doing and expect YOU to KNOW how to install, to what folder(s) and to guess the rest ('Sorry, very sorry...'). This is probably the MESSIEST Flt Sim activity you may want to try. Some of them 'Missions' are just (point blank) WEIRD! I say RUN...RUN AWAY far.. very far away from 'Missions' and don't look back. Try plain ole 'Free Flight' and enjoy yourself.
