I recently downloaded the Skyspirit2010 767V5 for my FSX (Steam Edition).

Everything works fine except the the strobe, nav, cabin and logo lights don't work. (The beacon sort of works but

it's just a dark, faint texture you can barely see with no 'effects') I've had this issue with every one of SkySpirit's 767 V5s so far

 

Any fixes??

Can you show the screenshot of the base folder and the contents of texture.cfg of the folder "texture.VH-OGS"?

Looking through your [lights] section of the aircraft.cfg file I would say "It's a wonder that you see any lights at all!" Landing lights are usually done through the model.

 

Go through that section and remove all // (Slashes) that are in front of each line. That should help matters.

 

The above suggestion is only if you want to use the panel switches for lights, otherwise follow PAULCRAIG'S advice to use the POSKY Uitlity Panel for lights and doors.

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

Hi,

 

Here is a late reaction.

 

Un-comment light.2 in the [Lights] section of the aircraft.cfg.

Furthermore be sure you have installed the latest model variant(s) and that in the panel.cfg

the posky utils assignments there reflect the version e.g you've a Posky763 folder in your panel folder, see to it that there are gauges defined which reflect that folder. Like in [VCockpit02],

e.g. gauge gauge00=Posky763!Pky_AdvInit, 140,80,140,80.... etc.

Latest models and newest posky utils can be downloaded from the facebook page of SkySpirit2010.

Also like Paul Craig said be sure you've installed the effect files.

[Tailhook] and [folding_wings] in the aircraft.cfg sections can be removed or commented as they have no use in FSX.

 

One last tip: Many times I've encountered that parts of the POSKY utils (e.g. lights) do not work,

but when you force a reload of the flight (CTRL+;) that all is working correctly.
