aviator66
I have FSX and went to the Cfg. file to Graphics, Texture_Max-Load=1024, changed the 1024 to 4096 and go flying. Come back and find it back to 1024. How do i keep it from going back to default? mrzippy
You made the change in the FSX.CFG file and not the FSX.CFG.text file by mistake? Didn't move any sliders while flying? This was posted on another forum by KOSTA in 2010 You can't make 4096 permanent. No matter what tool you use. Each time you go into graphical section and "OK" it, it WILL revert to 1024, trust me. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!

N2056
That program would be Texture Max Load Editor. I use it all the time. I was able to find it here.
