AidenMillar
Hi everyone, So I recently downloaded the UTT B747-8i base package, and I downloaded the Lufthansa liveries. I added some flightplans to the assigned liveries and then started up flight sim. I started a flight at frankfurt airpor to see if my 747-8's would a appear, but they didn't. I went back and checked the flightplans on the AIG Flightplanner and it says the flightplans are working with the aircraft. So my question is, why aren't the 747-8's showing up? Is it cause there is no parking for them? Or are they too long to fit at airports? Sincerely, Aiden
ColR1948
Check everything, like is the air file correctly spelled, have you copied and pasted the aircraft title and not added a space at the end, this sometimes happens? Also check the flightplans, are they set for weekly and are you on the right day, I've done this only to realise I was a day out lol.
pschlute
Paste the fltsim.x entries here starting with the one before the Lufthansa. Further to the good advice given above have you checked an hour either side of the departure/arrival times you were expecting ?
AidenMillar
What do you mean by: "and not added a space at the end"?
AidenMillar
Do you want me to paste all the fltsim.x entries in this forum discussion? Is that what you're asking?
ColR1948
@Aiden When you copy and paste the aircraft title in TTools sometimes it goes past the title and adds a space when you do a copy then when you paste it in TTools that space isn't really the title so the AC won't show, I'm presuming you are using TTools that is. AidenMillar
I don't use TTools. I instead just go to the Ai 747-8, open up the aircraft cfg. and add all the lines. I also double checked, and they're all in order as well: (1, 2, 3, ect.)
ColR1948
So you are using AIFP, look here and see if you are following it properly:
AidenMillar
Hi, So according to the video, I'm following everything correctly. Do you think it might be because I still have the Lufthansa WOI package installed? And those aircraft might be taking up the parking spots of my 747-8's? tgibson_new
Well, you will need some open parking spots for them to appear. You can use AFCAD (for airport BGL files starting with AF2) or ADE (can open all files) to open the airport BGL files and examine the location and number of parking spots, and their sizes. Use AFCAD (Tools/Aircraft Editor) to check the size of your AI 747-8's and make sure there is parking large enough for them. If not, use that Aircraft Editor to make the plane radius small enough to fit in some of your largest spots (or increase the size of the parking spots, but that is a lot more involved). AidenMillar
Hi Tom, How would I check the size of the Ai 747-8's? How do I find where the aircraft radius is? And how do I use the aircraft editor to make the plane radius small enough to fit? Sincerely, Aiden
ColR1948
There is another tool called AI Aircraft Editor get it here: http://www.owlsnest.eu/tools.php You can change the radius in that too. Also go to another airport that has plenty of parking for large aircraft and see if it shows there.
tgibson_new
I said in my post I use AFCAD for that. AI Aircraft Editor will also do it. In AFCAD you find your 747's in the list, click on one, and edit the radius value to what you want. AidenMillar
Hi guys, Thanks so much, I think the problem might be that I might have the wrong paint job for the wrong aircraft, I'll look into this problem. THanks for everything!
