Trabant Dave
Has anyone else come across this strange anomaly, just off the west coast of Denmark around Ringkobing/Esbjerg? I have no add-on scenery that affects that area so am a little stumped what is causing it... I'm running FSX with acceleration, on Alienware 17 with 16gb Ram, Win7 64 Ultimate and have the GTX880M GPU. Any advice gratefully received! Thanks Dave
mrzippy
I took off due West from Stauning and flew about a mile past the Jetty turning due South. Altitude about 1500 feet and saw no such anomaly. Are you seeing it only from a high altitude? Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer! Trabant Dave
Hi Mr Zippy; I was at FL330, flying between ESSA and EGLL.......
il88pp
Looks like a 'glitch'. Unable to draw scenery detail. Localised to one sector in this case. Either caused by to high settings, or by a problem with the videocard driver (or videocard itself, but unlikely). Often when it happens because of to high settings you can pause the flight, and after (quite) a few minutes it then appears. I don't think this is caused by damaged or missing files in fsx itself. I had it once, thought it was a scenery problem, but when looking closer I noticed it happening all along the flight path. These squares kept appearing in the distance. Reinstalling the graphics driver fixed it. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
