GloryOfTheSky
Hi guys, I have a 1600x900 monitor that I typically fly on, it works perfectly with no tearing or graphical issuies. However, I occasionally like to fly on my 60 inch 1920x1280 1080P tv. This tv is quite old, 5 years I should say. Its a pioneer elite, very good quality. At the time was around 20,000$. The coloring is better than most tv's today, however being so old, its at 30hz :( I run a tweaked fsx.cfg, I fly the PMDG 737/777 a lot. Alright, so when I fly on the 1080P tv I get this really wierd graphical bug. Lets say you move your camera view around in the cockpit, it like stutters, frames lag behind each other. I think it might be tearing. However, this does not happen on my monitor. I run a 3930k @ 5ghz with a Nvidia GTX 770 I get around 30-40FPS on my PMDG 737 in the air. Do I need to cap my frames at 30FPS to prevent this issuie? Do I need Vsync? If someone could help me out I would appreciate it. I locked my FPS at 25FPS on FSX and it still was tearing. Any help is greatly appreciated.
torkermax
I would think the 60 in would be much more comfortable to fly on? :) magic Monitor Ride. Mark Hurst
I really need help asap guys You suggested vsync but didn't say if you had tried it. If you are genuinely getting tearing, turning vsync on is the answer. You can set it in nVidia control panel. I don't think that limiting frames will have any effect on tearing. GloryOfTheSky
I haven't tried vSync. Is that all I have to do? Just set vSync in the Nvidia control panel? I though I had to tweak the cfg or something.
cianpars
I do believe there is a v sync tweak for the fsx.cfg, but you will have to Google it and I'm not sure how well it works. napamule2
Your video card should handle that 1080P 60 inch. You have a 'bottle neck' somewhere. To 'dump' more (all?) Graphics 'work' to video card add the '' (BufferPools) / Poolsize=0 '' lines to FSX cfg. It MIGHT NOT WORK, but worth a try. First try setting your DESKTOP res and FSX res to the same (ie: 1920x1080x32 - as there is NO '1920x1280x32' available in FSX - even if it's the 60 in monitor 'native res' - I hope you realize that?). FraisLive
If you are using EZdok do not use VSync. It F's things up real bad. If it is in your CFR have it set to "=0" Best Regards- Tyler Real World Teenage Pilot- Training in 2006 C172SP G1000 & 2011 Carbon Cub Intel i7 3770K 4.5 GHz; 8gb DDR3 1600; MSI GTX760 OC Edition; Windows 7 64-bit
