I am now 54 years old. No longer drink alcohol, no longer smoke.
My only vice, is spending as much time as possible, on my computer.
No, not on Facebook, or Twitter, but, flying my Sim Aircraft.
The other evening, one of my kids, said to me, "Bit old for that aren't you"
After some consideration, I came to the conclusion, that one can
not be too old, to fly a simulator, as long as, the eyesight, works well
enough to see the gauges, the co-ordination, allows one to have control
of the aircraft, on the ground, and in the air. You remember where
you are going, and why. And, the bathroom breaks, are few.
I am no expert, I learn something new, every time I start up FS9.
This Sim Aviation, is not just a whimsical pastime. There is so much involved.
Math, geography, geometry, physics. Just some of the stuff I have had
to study, to get the most, out of the Sim. Am I taking it too seriously?
I don't think so. It keeps my brain active, gives me challenges, and
problems, that need to be solved.
Too old for Sim Aviation? I am a teenager in the Sim Aviation world...
