  1. LOL!!! My kids are jealous, in Essex we always miss the snow :-)
  2. No, I meant this week. Looks a bit chilly down your way Dave!
  3. I expect the installer for version to complete testing this week.
  4. Sorry, I missed this! Go to Flight 1 and get the latest version of TOM, install it and then replace the 727 files at the top of this thread.
  5. This is so usefull, it has to stay pinned. Thanks for taking the time to post this.
  6. Functionality wise, there's not a lot changing, so unless you're on dail-up and dislike large downloads, there's point in waiting ;-)
  7. You have the current version Geoff. The next one does allow lights to be see in wing view, gear wind sound to be heard, avionics to not die on cold dark start and many other changes and additions that effectively make it version 2 and will require a new download/install. There's just too many changes to do it as an update file. Aside from a couple of issues, the file is ready for F1 to do their bit. Sadly, one of the issues is a somewhat annoying bug in the revised fuel system logic that we do have to resolve.
  8. Sorry, that one was never actually created as a user template for use with T-O-M. So I did it again at the weekend and will be available shortly from a DF offical repaint templates page.....along with many others.
  9. >Also, for now you can avoid the FS/Squawkbox crash by starting >SB after adding electrical power, (i.e. tcas/vsi ON). Am I correct in assuming there's no issue with using the transponder either, providing SB is started after adding the elec's? Am I also correct in assuming that TCAS fails to display online targets under any circumstances?
  10. >Sorry, I meant that all the DF Super-27s that are >coming in the servicepack/add-on have winglets (plus the >-200(HK)(WL) Pan Am aircraft). Winglets aren't optional for >the Greatest Airliners 727 v1.1 Super-27s. That is correct :-)
  11. >I think KC-10 was asking for a non-TCAS VSI. I don't think so. >Sandro, from what I read all the super-27s have winglets. No. Winglets are an option. Super 27 equals replacing engine pod 1 and 3 with JT8D-217 or -219 engines...........that's the definition. >Every varient that DF include will multiply the number of >.cfgs required. Right now, we've got the -100 and -200, >passenger and freighter, original or (RE,WL), plus the -200 >(HK,WL). That's 2*2*2+1 = 9 basic varients. On top of that, >each one has the options of no-VC or VC, and EFIS or Analogue, >which increases the number of varients by a factor of 4, >giving 36 varients in total - if DF were to add non-(WL) >super-27s, that would make it (2*2*3+1)*4 = 52 varients, >adding 16 more models to produce - the -100 and -200 pax and >freight no-VC and VC analogue and EFIS versions of the >(RE)(no-WL) aircraft... a lot of work for a small difference, >I think? I'm not even going there!! >Omykron, as I understand, the number 2 engine is the original >engine but with a hushkit, and with the reverser removed. The >numbers 1 and 3 engines are MD-80-standard -217s with bucket >reversers. Or -219's. >Whew, a what a lovely badly-formatted block of text - just >what the thread needed! LOL!!! I guess if it gets said often enough, the questions will stop.
  12. How about if you get the tables up on the screen and set the bugs yourself for the speed calls and then during the take-off roll get calls for "80 knots", "fuel flows normal","V1, rotate" and "V2"?
  13. I've already got a couple of VIP 100 Super27s done. Are you sure this is a Super 27, from the pic's it looks like it has normal engines. Also, you'll need to find me some closeup of the tail and daytime pic's as well before I'll do it. If you do, I'll paint it :-)
  14. No, as I've said in other posts, the list above is the final list, we simply can't just keep churning out more and more variations without charging for them.
  15. Thanks for the kind words guys, very much appreciated.
  16. The lack of targets when on-line? I really don't know where this will end up, I've not been told by Nick that anything's changed yet........but then I've not got final gauges either.
  17. Sure, I mentioned it already I think.
  18. Errrrr.........? I don't think so. From the cockpit the difference can't be noticed (so I'm told by someone who flies one of these Super27)
  19. Personally, I think it should be a "paid for" update as it's basically the whole project released in addition to the original with the exception of sharing the panels! Maybe this free update will encourage more users to "spread the word" on what they think of this product?
  20. Flight dynamics have been improved further across the whole range, particularly with regard to the pitch down effect that should be experienced when extending flaps and the feeling of some momentum when relaxing control input on wing roll during turns. specific flight models are also added for the Super 27's including all new performance tables.
  21. >I knew you'd do winglets. And -217 (MD-80) engines with bucket reversers :-)
  22. Nearly the end of the road!!! While we wait for the gauges, Paul S has been creating the final mdl files so they all include the added and amended parts that have been worked on. The final line up will be: 727-100 passenger 727-100 freighter 727-100 (RE) (WL) Super 27 passenger (-217 pod engines and winglets) 727-100 (RE) (WL) Super 27 freighter (-217 pod engines and winglets) - OK I can't find one of these in use so it could be fantasy! 727-200 passenger 727-200 freighter 727-200 (RE) (WL) Super 27 passenger (-217 pod engines and winglets) 727-200 (RE) (WL) Super 27 freighter (-217 pod engines and winglets) As an added bonus because he was on a bit of roll, Paul S has also added the 727-200 (HK) (WL), this using the FedEx type hushkit as opposed the normal full hushkit plus winglets..............good for the likes of the latest PanAm 727s and other operators that have gone for the bit of extra mileage that winglets give and without spending heaps on a couple of new engines. Just to complicate things, each mdl is created as a no vc (with wing views) mdl, analogue vc and efis vc. I didn't add it up, but that's a lot of possible combinations t give the setup you want!!! More to come very soon.
  23. As quite a few users have commented on this, and because when the taxi light is used on its own, it really is a bit on the dim side, all the new aircraft models will feature an improved taxi light. I'll add more info on the changes and additions to the package over the next week or so. Below are pic's of: 1)no taxi light 2)the current taxi light 3)the new taxi light
